The Training of a King
Scripture Text: 1 Samuel 16:1-13
In 1 Samuel 16:1-13, David is anointed by the Prophet Samuel to be the next king of Israel. But then David goes back to tending his flocks for months (maybe years). And then when he does become Israel's hero, he is on the run for over a decade before he actually becomes the true king of the land. Why the delay?
